  1. Billiam Says:

A guy on FOX news made an exc ellent anaogy this morning. The Feds managed to Bankrupt the Mustang Ranch in Nevada. What makes anyone think they’ll do any different with Health Care? After all, look how successful SSI and Medicaid/Medicare have been. Riiight…

  2. John Smith Says:

It is clear to me that the Crowley incident was smoke and mirrors in order to get people to look the other way while the government picks their pockets in the name of health care.

It is interesting that they wish to push it through right before the Social Security/Insurance report is due. Where did the Social Security money go, there was plenty, and it was supposed to be put away for you, now its gone. Suspect they now want the health care in big pot to cover Social Security blunder. Once in control of your LIFE care, your arm can easily be twisted to get more.

    This year:
-~800 billion stimulus spending money we don’t have.
-~500 billion deficit spending we don’t have.
-~11 trillion in debt, we owe.
-~400-500 billion interest paid alone, we don’t have.

The government should file chapter 11, they have no business trying to take on health/life care, they have already run them selves into the ground. The only possible reason is to control you LIFE care to force money from your pockets to pay for the above.

  3. A Nonymouse Says:

So the media is fixated on what they refer to as the “birther crazies”, who of course are just crazy enough to have figured out how to keep the media continuously raising the subject. Seems like push-polling to me (would you vots for Obama if you were told he had been born in Kenya?). But there’s another aspect to this that seems to have been overlooked; didn’t we read that (perhaps) Obama had become a citizen of Indonesia as a child, and had failed to reaffirm his US citizenship upon reaching majority??? What happened to this inquiry??

  4. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Tim Bishop is a 59 year old Democrat Congressman who is complaing about “unruly mobs” at his Town Hall meetings. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090731/pl_politico/25646

It appears that real people who want to express themselves to their elected representatives, when these politicians aren’t being exactly representative, are now being called “unruly mobs”. And, in some cases, arrests are being made. http://www.dailybreeze.com/latestnews/ci_12952962

    Can you say 1930s Germany?

  5. Paul Says:

Then the Representative ought to a.) realize the anger is from his failure to represent, and b.) should find another line of work if he can’t stand the heat.

The whiny bitch reminds me of the wussy father from “Family Ties.”

Funny that his fellow cretins don’t see a problem with disrupting speeches made by conservatives.

  6. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

This is Congressman Tim Bishop. http://timbishop.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=14§iontree=6,14

As you can see, he is a Man of the People (except when the people are an “unruly mob” who don’t feel very well represented by him).

  7. Dave_Sheboygan Says:

People tend to get unruly when you’re screw’n them over.

Thats it, i’m going “nekkid” and getting some goobermint money (ie: my money).

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/29/stimulus-funds-art-houses-showing-per vert-revues-underground-pornography/

    Talk about a stimulus package.

The National Endowment for the Arts may be spending some of the money it received from the Recovery and Reinvestment Act to fund nude simulated-sex dances, Saturday night “pervert” revues and the airing of pornographic horror films at art houses in San Francisco.

The NEA was given $80 million of the government’s $787 billion economic stimulus bill to spread around to needy artists nationwide, and most of the money is being spent to help preserve jobs in museums, orchestras, theaters and dance troupes that have been hit hard by the recession.

But some of the NEA’s grants are spicing up more than the economy. A few of their more risque choices have some taxpayer advocates hot under the collar, including a $50,000 infusion for the Frameline film house, which recently screened Thundercrack, “the world’s only underground kinky art porno horror film, complete with four men, three women and a gorilla.”

“When you spend so much money in a short amount of time … you’re going to have nonsense like this, and that’s why the stimulus should never have been done in the first place,” said David Williams, vice president for policy at Citizens Against Government Waste.

Click here for a full list of all of the NEA’s Recovery Act grants.

I’ve got a column on Friday’s Journal-Sentinel’s editorial page. Let me know what you think.

  10. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Great job Dan! This bunch in Madison is not unlike the bunch in D.C. Anything but representative. Hopefully there will be court action to force them to comply with the Wisconsin Constitution and will of the voters. Isn’t it a shame that it would even have to come to that? 2010!

  11. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Quiz for the day. How could this arrest have been avoided? http://videos.thestate.com/vmix_hosted_apps/p/media?id=1790099

    Again, not 5 minutes!
Actually, I would have been done in under 2 minutes!

  15. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Just a heads up on an outstanding price out of Milwaukee to Las Vegas for anybody thinking about taking a F.U. Obama trip to Vegas. Midwest has a special going for Sept., Oct., and November on select days R/T for $138 total. Check out their website or Expedia. May not last long as I suspect seats will fill up fast. Looks like mostly Tuesday or Wednesday departures. Strip hotel rates are pretty low too. Go to their websites or call directly for deals. If it’s your first trip out there, let me know and I can offer some suggestions. I go out there about three or four times a year and really enjoy it. We also have Dan who comments here and has his own The Las Vegas Badger blog and I’m sure would offer his perspective if asked.

  16. Jay Says:

Let me guess Glenn. Wear the seat belt in the first place. Failing that produce the license and registration when asked. If there is a problem with the stop take that up in court.

Unfortunately this video may indeed make her rich if she gets the right attourney/ Judge combo.

  17. Glenn D. Frankovis Says:

Yeah, the answers to this quiz are pretty simple for normal thinking people. Been in that type of situation myself on more than one occasion (as the big old mean Officer that is). The taser did seem like a bit much to me, although I’m old school from before the taser, so I don’t know if he was in compliance with what is called the confrontational continuum (a measured response in use of force) as I wasn’t around for that training. The guys I used to work with on the street would have ridiculed any male cop who felt a need to use a taser on a woman in such a scenario, but times are different now. I do remember that our training with pepper spray authorized use of the spray if challenged by someone with fists or someone who just refused to be arrested and handcuffed. Prior to the pepper spray clubs were trump and the guy ran the risk of coming out of the fight with a broken bone, so the pepper spray was a minor inconvenience for the guy in the grand scheme of things. I have to give this cop credit for being as patient as he was though. She was definitely asking to be arrested.

For anyone who thinks it is unnecessary to maintain complete control of a woman or even a youngster when making an arrest, I have the scar just above my eye to prove that even a 14 year old boy can cause harm if he doesn’t want to comply and you let your guard down because “he’s just a kid”. One inch lower and I might have been walking around for the rest of my life with a patch over my eye.

    DOG DAY AFTERNOONS…In Madison

Another 75 grand, plus legal fees, will soon slither from the pockets of taxpayers in Madison.

    http://www.wkowtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=10853558

All the experts on disabilities agree with the plantiff while the City of Madison is on an island of ignoble denial.

This from the same police department that arrested a sexual assualt victim for reporting the crime, and arrested a man for robbery for holding onto a relative’s bicycle unitil police arrived.

In the criminal justice system it’s called ‘three strikes and your out.’
