Back on August 18th, we blogged on Obama sending $2Billion to assist Brazilian oil company, Petrobras. Most reaction I saw seemed to revolve around the hypocrisy of our Democrat President sending American money to support another country’s efforts to expand it’s crude oil production, while the line of the very same Democrat party when it comes to Domestic US oil production is very simple: NO!
Perhaps the money is going to assist a vital supplier of American oil. No. According to these US Dept. of Energy official statistics, Brazil only represents about 1.8% of American imports. OK, Brazil’s a relatively minor player. So why?
The Gateway Pundit has a nice summary. If you follow the money, you will find that George Soros owns a major stake in Petrobras. So this isn’t about energy policy. This isn’t about environmental policy. This is about paying off those who helped you get elected.
Remember that tired old Lefty mantra we heard repeated for the past 8 years, well, until Obama got elected actually…”No War for Oil?” The hollow charge that our primary reason for our war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan was to enrichen Dick Cheney and his oil buddies…hollow charges that continued regardless the absence of evidence. Then in sweeps Barry Soetoro-Obama who conveniently makes a pretty clear quid pro quo just 7 months after taking office. We’ve got growing unemployment while the rich get richer. How’s that Hope and Change working out for ya?

A libtard on another site, Obambot to the core, actually used this to defend his messiah:
Since the loans were backed by the Import/Export bank, it was OK.
The equipment had to be American. But Halliburton wouldn’t count because it’s Dubai-based now.
I guess anything to defend his messiah and handler.
I also guess it’s fine to drill off the shores of third world countries, but not ours. And while the ethanol scam was abloom, weren’t the Brazilians held as the model country that weaned itself off fossil fuels?

Brazil GM should also thank the US taxpayers for over 1 Billion dollars of money to the “ailing” GM being sent to their Brazil plant for upgrades.
Nothing like paying for your own jobs to go away.
Neocons = liberals = destructors.

Corbin. It’s about George Soros getting paid back.
Nothing else.

Obumma will go down in history as the BRINGING BACK OF CONSERVATISM administration, but certainly not do to his promise of “CHANGE”! His backers and handlers are pushing radical programs so hard and fast, that he will self-destruct in 2010 with the mid-term elections. I am starting to see some formidable “changes” coming with signs of “THROW THE BUMS OUT”, as the herd of sheeple start to stampede.

Interesting statement:
” Obumma will go down in history as the BRINGING BACK OF CONSERVATISM administration,”
.

.
Can you please explain to me when we actually had a conservative administration?
And don’t say Reagan, he was into deficit spending too. He was probably one of the least of the offenders in my lifetime, but it was still there.
And he did agree with Kennedy on Amnesty, gosh.. gotta love that “compassion”..
