I am not going to be able to get everything edited and uploaded tonight, but here is a start. The Scott Walker speech was longer than the 10 minute YouTube limit, so it had to be split into two parts. More videos will be added to this post as they become available.

I apologize for things being out of order, some video requires less processing and editing than others. Next, actually should have been first, it is the introduction by Citizens for Responsible Government’s Orville Seymer and Chris Kliesmet.

The always great, Pastor David King, who is also running for Secretary of State of Wisconsin. Also, blogger Randy Hollenbeck

These are the last two for tonight, I will pound the rest out tomorrow. here we have County Board Supervisors Joe Sanfelippo & Paul Cesarz.

For those of us that think these rallies are all about anger and hate, you couldn’t be further from the truth, we even played Jeopardy, CRG Style.

A citizen activist that has taken the Wisconsin DOT to the Supreme Court… TWICE!

Some small businessmen driven out of Milwaukee County.

Final video. Dan Pelchen, Midwest Regional Manager at RCM Technologies. Dan’s story was very entertaining in a way, but very disturbing. He showed how he was screwed over by Milwaukee County and why he moved his business across the county line.

Wish I could have been there. Glad there was such a good turnout!

From a press release from CRG:

A standing room only crowd, in excess of 800 citizens, flooded the Presidents Room of Serb Hall in support of Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker’s 0% tax increase budget. The rally was sponsored by CRG Advocates, Inc., the policy advocacy unit of CRG Network.

The rally featured an address by Walker, a series of vignettes by families and businesses forced to relocate out of the county, a novel game-show-style budget review, and a chilling revelation by county board supervisors Joe Sanfelippo and Paul Cesarz that the county board is authorized to raise property taxes as much as 28%.

Outside the rally, union protesters harassed and heckled citizens as they attempted to enter the hall. One of the 800 plus rally attendees became engaged in a brief shoving match with several union protesters after allegedly being struck from behind with a picket sign. Fortunately, this childish behavior on both sides quickly subsided and cooler heads prevailed.

CRG spokesperson Chris Kliesmet added, “To say the response to our rally exceeded expectations is an understatement. The attendance rivaled and in many cases exceeded what we experienced during the Ament recall. By the time County Executive Walker began speaking we filled an 800 person capacity room so tightly another 50 or more were forced to stand outside the hall and listen. This should erase all doubt as to whether people are both paying attention to and understand the issues surrounding this budget. The message is loud and clear, ‘Government must live like and within the means of its citizens.’ The new emphasis is for citizens to move beyond rallies and to once again engage in tangible and substantive action to retake control of government.”

Maybe I just missed it, but over 800 taxpayers gather to try to keep a handle on our taxes, and the paper seems to have missed the story? I don’t see anything at JSOnline, anything in the Dead Tree version?

Patrick, they’re like the little kid who holds his hands over his eyes. “If I can’t see you, then you’re not there.”

Question: If you were angry enough to engage the protestors outside, got into a pushing match (before or after being struck with a placard by one of them) or if you were a protestor who got knocked on his ass by the alleged rally attendee, wouldn’t you stay to make a report with the Police? And how convenient was it that the Fox 6 news cameraman just happened to be present when this all went down outside? I have heard from some people that none of these combatants stuck around to talk with the cops when they arrived. If anybody knows otherwise, please let me know.

I have received info from people nearby when this incident occurred that the two people who were pushed did stick around to give the Police a statement, and Fox 6 News reports that 2 citations were issued to the guy who pushed the woman and man picketing outside the event. Clears up any concerns that this incident might have been staged.
