Choices, choices. This Saturday, November 14, you can make plans to attend CRG‘s Veto Super Rally at the Italian Community Center from 1-3 P.M.
Or, if you’re in the mood for something completely different, you can join members of the Coalition to Stop the Takeover of MPS in picketing State Senator Lena Taylor’s home, 1518 W. Capitol Drive, from 1-2 P.M.
The group’s press release suggests that their picketing aims to “oppose the mayoral takeover, protect and defend voter rights, and invest in parent and community involvement in [MPS] schools.”
The coalition warns:
“Senator Taylor needs a strong reminder and Milwaukeeans need to know that her support of the mayoral takeover is opposed by many of her constituents and other people in Milwaukee.”
Look on the bright side, Lena. At least SOMEONE “knows who you are.”
