When a politician retires from politics, they have to get rid of their campaign war chest. Usually it is given to charities or returned to the donors.
From WPRI:
Wisconsin Statute 11.19(1) governs how “residual” campaign funds can be spent:
Residual funds may be used for any political purpose not prohibited by law, returned to the donors in an amount not exceeding the original contribution, or donated to a charitable organization or the common school fund.
Doyle had roughly $1.8 million socked away, and so far, he has given one million dollars, not to charity, or back to the donors, but to the liberal attack group The Greater Wisconsin Committee, who is using the money to run attack ads against Scott Walker. Tom Barrett once pledged not to allow this sort of advertising on his behalf, but Charlie Sykes asks: WILL HE SAY ‘NO’ NOW?
Doyle is attacking Walker, Barrett is attacking Walker, Neumann is attacking Walker and Democrats are lining up to vote for Neumann in the primary… Clearly Scott Walker terrifies liberal Democrats.

Just got back from a trip up to God’s country. Walker and Johnson signs were all up and down the highway (41; 10; and 39/51 north and south all the way from just north of Madison to Hurley, Wisconsin). I don’t think I saw more than one or two Neumann signs and I only saw one Feingold sign as I was entering the Lac du Flambeau reservation and one Barrett and Feingold sign on a property on Hwy 47 (probably some guy from Chicago who probably votes there too).

4 yrs. ago didn’t the democrats slime Mark Green by accusing him of using his congressional campaign money for his gubernatorial race? He was found to have done nothing wrong- about 4 months after the election.
Of course, when Barrett ran for mayor, it was OK for him to do it.
But now Doyle can give his cash to a third party to spend against Walker. Doyle has no class, he’ll make a fine obama federal judge.

@Mr. Parker: Democrats don’t play by the same set of rules the rest of us do, but you know that already.
I sent out an e-mail to my peeps today, and I would like to share it with you. If you’d like to copy and paste and call it your own, I really don’t care. Winning this contest is more important, in my opinion, than who is credited for the victory.

Friends and business associates,
I wanted to share an e-mail I received today from a TRUE conservative and enemy of the left, Jim Sensenbrenner.
Freely distribute to your circle of trust.
Hack Democrat activists and lefty bloggers (but, I repeat myself) are scheming to defeat Scott Walker next Tuesday by encouraging their rank-and-file to vote for Mark Neumann, believing him to be the weaker candidate in November.
I can assure you, they’re right. Mark Neumann is the weaker candidate. The media has yet to open their bag of tricks where Neumann is concerned. Scott Walker is the candidate best positioned to defeat Tom Barrett - now armed with his fresh war chest of Jim Doyle’s money. The left in this state, in particular the public service unions, have focused their vitriol on Walker in a years-long crusade, and they have yet to break him. This speaks volumes of his character and tenacity.
The only way you can counteract this tactic is to vote for Scott Walker next Tuesday, and to encourage your friends and family, perhaps even the family pet, to do the same.
Taking this state back from the reckless spending of the corruptocrats starts with electing Scott Walker our next governor.

From the Desk of Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner…
Mr. XXXXXXXX [redacted]
Over the last few days, you have been hearing a lot about Mark Neumann’s vote for pork barrel spending in Congress. Let me set the record straight. I served with Mark Neumann.
Mark Neumann voted ‘yes’ for $9 billion in pork projects when he was in Congress. He voted ‘yes’ to wasteful transportation spending.
I voted against that bill because it was full of waste and payoff to special interests. Like me, Scott Walker opposed the bill and the 9 billion of wasteful spending.
That’s why I am voting for Scott Walker. He’s the conservative choice for governor.
Would you consider volunteering for Scott to help us spread his message and get out the vote on September 14th?
Scott Walker has cut spending, held line on property taxes, reduced debt, and made his county government smaller.
If you want lower taxes and less government, I hope you’ll join me in voting for this Tuesday for the conservative candidate for Governor, Scott Walker. You can go here to find your polling place, and here to tell your friends about why we are voting for Scott.
Thank you for all you do for Scott, and check out this radio ad featuring my support for Scott
Sincerely,
Jim Sensenbrenner

Mr. Parker, don’t worry about Obama nominations after the elections. With the tsunami about to hit the Dems, we’ll take the Senate and House. His big spending days will be over, and his nominations won’t make it out of the Senate committees. He’s going to have alot of time to work on his golf game, and the country will begin the process of repair and restoration of its honor.

Obama is already whining like a sissy.
Imagine after the election. He’ll be weeping like a baby.
