Hey, don’t take our word for it. That all-knowing voice of reason, The Paper, says so.
Remember: “Crime is Down.” But apparently not that far down.

It’s so false he actually got a “pants on fire” graphic. I haven’t heard that since, oh, elementary school.
Waiting for Barrett to blame Walker for this in 3…2…1…

THAT is priceless! Violent crime actually “surged” in 2006 to its highest point in 20 years. Barrett was Mayor in 2006, and the “well qualified” Nannette Holly Hegerty was his Police Chief. The Journal also reports that violent crime was at its lowest during the 7 year period before Barrett took Office in April 2004. Arthur Jones was the Police Chief during that 7 year period and except for 2003 homicides (which we had cut by 50% in 2002), my Police District (#3) saw significant reductions in overall major crime to include a 15.5% reduction in violent crime in 2003. I actually laughed out loud while reading this Journal article. Just further evidence of another lefty gang, this time the Barrett campaign, that couldn’t shoot straight (pun intended). Like I said the other day, my guys and I chased thugs who were smarter than these clowns. I give the Journal a big time “two thumbs up” for exposing this to the public and especially for the rating they gave to the Barrett claim that “Crime is Down”. I can’t stop laughing!
