Because of the failure of Tom Barrett to see that the $18+ million OpenSky radio system is functioning properly, the police officers and fire fighters that are forced into using a radio system that does not function properly, have lost confidence in Tom Barrett, and they support Scott Walker for Governor.
Tom Barrett has had 6 years to deal with this system, but he has failed to provide any leadership, and now our first responders are left in the lurch. These brave men & women often don’t have time to repeat their calls for help, or they are unable to leave a building so their radio works, but Tom Barrett has proven he doesn’t care.
What’s next? Will he try to force OpenSky on all first responders statewide? What makes you think he wouldn’t?

If you would like to learn more about the failures of OpenSky, check here, then ask yourself how this mayor could go 6 years doing nothing, until a few months ago, when he forced police officers, and now fire fighters to use this system anyway… A radio system that still doesn’t work when it’s needed most.

It’s good to see the cops and firefighters hanging together on this issue and even better to see them standing up for Scott and against Barrett.
