Remember the story from 2008 of the Judy’s Red Hots restaurant on 27th & Kilbourn in Milwaukee? The restaurant had been shut down for health code violations. Nasir Khan, a former Pakistani police officer, turned US citizen / entrepreneur bought the business, cleaned it up, sinking all of his savings into new equipment for this new business, and getting the permits from the Health Dept. only to have Alderman Bob Baumann come in and have the permits rescinded, claiming that this location was causing crime in the area. What a crock! Anyone that knows that area knows what a joke that is. It is one of Milwaukee’s most crime ridden areas, and what the area needs is more businesses, not vacant buildings and a narcissist alderman that blocks businesses on a whim.

Well, here we are, two years later, I guess Baumann found a business owner that paid him the proper respect… or whatever. But instead of having a restaurant at that location, now we have a discount tobacco shop… What is more likely to draw a criminal element Mr. Baumann?

Apparently Baumann found somebody who wasn’t a “bottom feeder” to open this discount tobacco shop. (see my comment #14 in the following link): http://badgerblogger.com/?p=8982

Take the time to read all of the comments in this attached link.

Have you ever met Bob Baumann?? I have.
To call Baumann a reptile would be an insult to cold blooded lizards.
Baumann is THE GRINCH with less personality.

sounds like this guy needs to be investigated to the nth degree.

Tobacco is still a legal product in Wisconsin, despite the best efforts of totalitarian busy-bodies everywhere…

That said, I’d be interested to learn the race and background of the new business owner, their prior relationship to Baumann, how much cash they forked over to him, that sort of thing.
