FiveThirtyEight Forecasts (an arm of the New York Times, no less) has it, tonight, Johnson 51.5%, Feingold 45.6%. Real Clear Politics has Johnson +6.0. So ignore the St. Norbert poll that has Johnson +2.0. But as Wisconsin goes, so goes the nation. If Feingold, Boxer, Reid, the hapless Patty Murray, et al, all return to Washington indeed that’s a message that Americans are choosing to cross the event horizion into the realm of Third World status.

PS: There’s actually an algorithm that instructs that at this late date Feingold has only a 10.9% chance of winning the election. So take heart, but vote. It’s like trust - but verify. Now if there was only a way to oust the ridiculous Gwen Moore.

Gwen Moore does have a challenger, and he’s a good guy too, Dan Sebring. Dan has been working hard, there are tons of yard signs (I know signs don’t vote). I have met Dan a few times, he’s a good Conservative, former military and small businessman.
I know the district is overwhelmingly Democratic, but Dan has my vote, it’s one of the races I’ll be watching closely from Papa’s on election night with many conservative bloggers & friends. (You are all invited!)

+1 to Dan Sebring.
There’s 2 south side races that are slipping under the wire too. Because most Republicans voted for governor in the primary, the left wing thief, Chris Larson was able to steal the democrat senate nomination from Jeff Plale. Plale was far from perfect but he is much better than Larson would be.
Jess Ripp is representing the Republicans in this district and from what I can see would be much better than Larson.
Molly McGartland is running for the assembly against Chris Sinicki. Sinicki is a complete tool of AFSCME and WEAC. Her newsletters would make you vomit. She’s a lefty like Gwen Moron.

St. Norbert? The “sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio” St. Norbert?
Two observations: polls always tighten as the election date gets closer, and 2) loathed as I am to quote him, Dick Morris is right: “Likely” voters lie that they are likely to vote (I suspect that is simply because they don’t want to be embarrassed about not voting when talking to someone on the phone).

The Obamas have booked the entire, 560 room “Taj Mahal Hotel” for their upcoming two-night-stay in India, the Economic Times reports.
Out of security concerns, they have, quite literally, booked the entire property, including the banquet facility and restaurants.
They’ve also booked 125 rooms at the nearby “Taj President,” as well as “80 to 90 rooms each in the Grand Hyatt and Oberoi hotels.”
An Indian security officer is quoted in the report:
The Taj Mahal Hotel has 560 guest rooms, at an average cost of $250.00 USD p/night. It also boasts 44 suites, with an average cost of $2,000.00 USD per night. Adding in 85 rooms each at the other two properties, at an average of $200.00 USD per night, in lodging costs alone, the American taxpayer will shell out roughly $524,000.00 for the entourage’s two-night visit to Mumbai.
This makes the First Gardener’s trip to Spain look like an off-season weekend jaunt to The American Club.
The manner in which these people are conducting themselves is being done for their own satisfaction and amusement, because they know the reaction which they are inciting in that “Guns and Religion” crowd which they so despise.
I can draw no conclusion other than that they are doing this for the same reason dogs lick their nether-regions: Because they can.
And there is nothing you, nor I, can do to stop them.

Rawson, I’ve seen this before - on a much smaller scale, but the arrogance/entitlement mentality is the same. It was predictable even before he took Office.

A thought on another topic: In an interview with the Wisconsin State Journal, Mordecai Lee calls his friend, Tom Barrett, a “nice Catholic boy.”
It’s time for an ‘inconvenient truth.’
Someone should explain to Professor Lee that you can’t be Catholic and pro-abortion. Not open to debate.
Come to think of it, while they’re at it, someone should explain this to Tom Barrett.

JS continues their desperate attempt to portray the Johnson - Feingold race as close. No credible poll agrees. Nonetheless, expect concerted attempts at voter fraud by democrats, and I suspect in the last 2 days before the election Feingold or his camp followers will fill the media with obviously untruthful claims against Johnson - but with almost no time to respond.
October 24th, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Today’s FiveThirtyEight algorithm has Feingold’s chance of winning at 11.1%, up a point from yesterday. At one-percent/day Feingold will be in a good position to win when hell freezes over, which according to democrats is impossible…
FiveThirtyEight also notes that the latest CNN / Opinion Research has Johnson at +8.
The Walker campaign center on West Silver Spring is OUT of Walker and Johnson yard signs!!!

Johnson is a Boy Scout. If the WisDems/DNC had anything legitimate on him, it would have been leaked long ago. This is what makes Anon’s (comment #12, ^^above) theory, which I happen to share, so troubling.
Expect something along the lines of “Johnson, wife, identify with ‘Birther’ movement” or “Johnson shoots orphan babies, just for fun” in next Sunday’s papers…

Sunday Funnies: “Rush” Feingold calling.
I was highly confused for a few moments - what the heck is Limbaugh running for?!? - as the poor young lass on the phone was talking her points and repeated “Rush Feingold” two or three times.
I am certain she heard my giggles before I said, “It’s ‘Russ’, hon. R.. U…S.. S.., Russssss.”
“Thank you for that correction, sir.”, she replied before continuing with her script. And I let her go on, amused.
“Will you tell two friends how Rush…uh…Russ Feingold has helped create jobs and…”, she asked.
“Since Rusty’s vote on the 800 billion stimulus package,” I interrupted, “the country has lost some 2 million jobs.” This garnered a few seconds of stunned silence from her end of the line (I hear papers rustling).
Then she got it right.
Sort of.
“Um ,ok. Will you tell two friends how Russ Goldberg has made health care more affordable?”, she asked.
I could spit nothing out other than, “sure… sure…yeah…”.
“Thank you for time”, she said. “This call has been paid for by the Rush Feingold For Senate comittee.”

Perhaps she had been reading some Jonah Goldberg earlier in the day and just got confused.
In spite of her ineptitude, she’ll still be paid for her services. Future MTEA/WEAC member?

If she can’t read from the script, 3-1 she had Bullock for an English teacher.

And probably Chris “Capper” Liebenthal (or ‘Liebs,’ as he comments at the J/S websites) as a family social worker.

Rush Goldberg? Are you talking about Ralph Feinberg?
