Two weeks ago, Wisconsin Congresswoman Gwen Moore rallied her fellow party faithful with a fiery speech at the DNC convention in Denver, Colorado. In her speech, Moore blasted Republican presidential candidate John McCain for what Moore alleged was a history of “anti-woman” positions on health care and reproductive rights.

Moore’s own offspring, whom Wisconsin residents recognize as “Supreme Solar Allah“, is best known for his work as a political operative in the 2004 John Kerry campaign who was later convicted of slashing tires on Republican “get out the vote” vehicles.

BadgerBlogger recently discovered a rather interesting photograph, featured at the Congresswoman’s son’s MySpace page. At the social networking site, “Supreme” (legal name Sowande A. Omokunde) is shown next to (then) Senator Barack Obama in what appears to be a September 2006 photograph.

If the date on the photo, September 9th, 2006, is an accurate date stamp, the photo would most likely have been taken at the annual conference of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which was being held in Washington D.C. during that time. Obama had moderated a forum entitled “Africa: The 21st Century” at the conference just two days earlier, according to published reports.

BadgerBlogger is inclined to wonder whether Mr. Obama was made aware of exactly whom he was standing next to when that photograph was taken. We tried to ask the question, but representatives of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Wisconsin for Obama didn’t respond to repeated phone calls and e-mails inquiring about Obama’s presence in the photo.

“Supreme’s” own sentencing in his tire slashing conviction had taken place the previous April; according to state online court records, on April 26th, 2006, Congresswoman Moore’s son had been sentenced to four months in the House Of Correction, with work release privileges, to begin on or before May 23, 2006, for his role in the tire-slashing incident.

BadgerBlogger confirmed with insiders in Milwaukee County government late this afternoon that Omokunde reported for his sentence in the House of Correction in “late April”, completing his stint on August 28th, 2006.

Two weeks later, “Supreme” was smiling for the camera next to the Democratic Party’s current presidential candidate.

The Journal/Sentinel’s Spivak and Bice authored a report in November, 2006, which
disclosed that “Supreme” had been added to Congresswoman Moore’s 2006 campaign payroll. According to Moore’s campaign finance reports, her campaign paid her son a total of $3,100.00 for “political consulting services” late in 2006. Spivak and Bice reported that “Omokunde told others that he was the campaign’s deputy field director” at the time.

In their 2006 report, Spivak and Bice asked the question: “How many other criminals can walk out of jail and into a job on a congressional campaign payroll?”

Almost two years later, it appears that a better question would have been: “How many other criminals, two weeks removed from a jail sentence, after being convicted for destroying property belonging to the opposition party, would be able to visit a political conference and get their picture taken with Barack Obama?”

Oh, and lest we forget… All the while, being paid for all this fun by your mom’s political campaign fund.

Being a Congresswoman’s son does, apparently, have its privileges.

Guess this pretty much answers the question!

“…but representatives of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Wisconsin for Obama didn’t respond to repeated phone calls and e-mails inquiring about Obama’s presence in the photo.”

    Good grief.

  2. Marge Says:

Classic last line.. I love it! Good investigative work.. yet again… :)

  3. A Nonymouse Says:

    cute pic. Two “community activists.”

  4. gus Says:

Nonymouse, that would be “community organizers”.
    Community activists are different.

  5. A Nonymouse Says:

OK, “organizers” - the dif is that an organizer is paid…even worse.

  6. gus Says:

    Bingo.

  7. gus Says:

Oh dear, oh dear. We actually have a picture of Barack Hussein Obama and “Allah” together.

  8. Gleek Says:

So he is a “commmunity coordinator” for “Street Academy of Cream City”. Obviously this is one of those useless social services groups operating on government grant funds (your tax dollars). I bet he goes door to door making sure people are registered to vote multiple times and are enrolled for as many government handout programs as possible.

  9. Dan Says:

Considering how many thouands of pictures Obama and any other national politician have taken with people, there will be some idiot who sneaks in. But it does show how corrupt Milaukee politics is. Maybe that is what Obama, Moore and Allah have in common.

  10. FromTheHip Says:

Here’s another local Milwaukee politician in a picture with both Obama and Doyle. Connecting the dots… (my anti-spam word was “connect”).

  11. Patrick Dorwin Says:

Hey, don’t go bashing Community Organizers, Jesus was one, you know

I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences. But if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor.
    -Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN)

Evil Governors… Well, if they have an R after their name.

“BadgerBlogger is inclined to wonder whether Mr. Obama was made aware of exactly whom he was standing next to when that photograph was taken.”

Singles to C-Notes he had no clue who he was standing next to taking a picture with. Dan is right in that politicians shake thousands of hands, and take thousands of pictures. Most problably go down like this:

“Mr. Obama! Mr. Obama! Can I get a picture with you?”

    “Sure.”

    *smile* *click*

    “Hey, where did Obama go?”

  13. Mr. Pelican Pants Says:

I wonder if the two of them talked about the importance of either inflating tires or slashing tires.

  14. HeatherRadish Says:

BadgerBlogger is inclined to wonder whether Mr. Obama was made aware of exactly whom he was standing next to when that photograph was taken.

And if he did, do you really think a man who has benefitted so handsomely from the fraud and corruption of the Chicago machine would give a darn about being seen with a member of it’s little brother up in Milwaukee?

  15. Roland Melnick Says:

Hey…what did he use to slash those tires…those two front teeth?

Uh, Nick…you were apparently too busy jumping into knee-jerk Protect-The-Messiah mode to realize that the overall message of Patrick’s post here was to slam Gwen Moore and her goon of a son. I’d bet that you are probably right about how the intro/photo-op went down. Since the Liberal-biased media played the whole event as “kids pulling pranks” or “random act of vandalism”, Obama might have had no knowledge about the act of political sabotage that it really was.

@FromTheHip…what is the point of your post? Would you rather see Alderman Michael McFelon in that pic?

  16. Roland Melnick Says:

    Correction:

Uh, Nick…you were apparently too busy jumping into knee-jerk Protect-The-Messiah mode to realize that the overall message of Bruce’s post here was to slam Gwen Moore and her goon of a son.

    Good post Bruce…

  17. Roland Melnick Says:

With chompers like that, his name should be “Supreme Molar Allah!”

  18. Larry Tate Says:

Yeah Roland, he sure got struck with The Ugly Stick.

  19. Ron Says:

    caption: “By any means necessary.”

  20. Patrick Dorwin Says:

Congresswoman Gwen Moore, mother of Supreme Solar Allah, will be at MATC next Monday, Sept. 15th (10:0 AM in room S-120) to discuss the upcoming elections. Perhaps since she is an expert in… Deflating… vote totals among your opponents, she can discuss the issue. Maybe she can even bring in a prop… Say, the knife used to slash the tires of the vehicles that were to be used in a “get out the vote” drive.

This speech will be broadcast to all campuses and will be posted on-line, might be worth checking next week.

  21. Mark Says:

With teeth like that I bet he could eat a cob of corn through a pickett fence.

  22. stalker3 Says:

Gwen Moore raised a son who is a black supremacist (sp?)(I read that a few years back on I think Fox6 news website), then tried to supress the vote of the elderly.
I wonder if the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
    Brown Shirts.

  23. Jaeson Says:

The kid’s an uneducated moron. He’ll be sitting next to McGee soon enough, just give it time.

  24. big_hairy_bubba Says:

Just think how much damage those teeth can do to a pillow. He’ll soon found out what his initials are backward. As for Gwen Moore, you can put lipstick on a pig……..

Shouldn’t this be considered a racist organization? There is nothing inclusive that can be remotely connected with this group, who incidentally, deny Caucasians from forming similar organizations. Something is definitely wrong with this situation.

  26. Martin Says:

    Scott,

Not really. Just your run of the mill double standard

  27. Jeremy Says:

    Supreme kinds looks like Spongebob.
