Today, I will fly a special flag in front of my house, it only flies on special days like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and of course, September 11th. this flag was given to me by my Grandmother a few years ago, just days after the death of my Grandfather, a member of Our Greatest Generation and World War 2 veteran. There is nothing special about this flag… to most people. It wasn’t flown over the White House or a battlefield, but it was the flag that my Grandfather proudly flew in front of his house, I now keep it and fly it on special occasions like this, in honor of his memory, and to honor this great nation.

In memory of the most deadly attack in American history, I would like to give this space to anyone that wishes to share their thoughts and memories of that beautiful Tuesday morning seven years ago. I will start things out by sharing my memories. I typed this out on the second anniversary of 9/11, and as I reread it today, the memories are still fresh… and it still hurts. Some wish we would forget this day… Never!

The other night, I was surfing YouTube, not intending to be drawn into 9/11 tribute videos, but once I hit the first one, I was hooked once again. Here are a few of my favorites.

Love or hate him, George Bush and his policies have kept this country safe since 9-11-01. We have not been attacked, even though many terrorists have tried.

Two years ago I joined 2996 Bloggers around America, in paying tribute to the 2996 victims of terrorism that perished on September 11, 2001. Each of us took a name and posted a tribute to them.

I honored Michael Joseph Cunningham, who died in the World Trade Center. Michael lived in Princeton Junction New Jersey, but was a British citizen working for Euro Brokers in America. Michael’s wife also worked for the same company, but she had just given birth to their son, William, only 13 days before that tragic day.

@Dan - keyword “since”, what about on 9/11? I wouldn’t give so much credit to him or the administration for keeping anyone safe. It happened on THEIR watch. Dems or Repubs both would keep us safe. The real focus should be on, the families and friends who lost someone, and where the heck is Osama, in Iraq?

You might want to look into how Jamie Gorelik, of the Clinton administration and later the 9-11 commission created to blame Bush, built the wall of silence that made it possible for the 9-11 terrorists to freely move about the country.

  7. Mr. Parker Says:

#6 Captain, you are correct. Jamie Gorelick was tasked with expanding PDD 24 signed by Bill Clinton. This was ostensibly to prevent penetrations into the Company after the tragic Ames affair. The ulterior motive in establishing the NCI was to control investigations into Chinese espionage and political donations. This had the effect of building a wall between CIA and FBI and effectively stopped sharing of intelligence. Then the “Jackal” Reno, put a hack by the name of Richard Scruggs who enforced Gorelick’s wall and critical information was never shared.
Clinton had numerous opportunities to have bin Laden extradited or terminated. He turned it down every time from extradition in the Sudan to cruise missile attacks in Afghanistan because we didn’t have enough evidence to “arrest” him and he blocked opportunities because there were innocent people(at the training camp!) who might get killed.
When Ahmad Shah Massoud was killed on 9/9/2001, we knew the shit was going to hit the fan.
#5 Usama might be in Quetta or in the Waziristan area.
His henchmen ansaar al islam were in Iraq fighting the Peshmerga (pro west)Kurds and the swine Zarqawi was with them. Remember the no fly zones? From what I’ve seen there not a democrat leader alive that would have the guts to handle al-Qaida

Patrick, it is indeed a special flag. Please don’t store it in a plastic bag near you garbage.

Fox News has compiled a list of knows terror plots that have been thwarted since 9/11, I suggest you go read them all and ask which of the two presidential candidates are more likely to continue the successful domestic programs that have kept us safe since that horrific day.
