Separating the political and non political open lines worked well last week, so we’ll try it again. So have at it, feel free to discuss any political topics we missed.

Read an interesting article recently that describes vividly what is happening on the north side of Milwaukee. It’s title is: Fires Follow Foreclosures, Vacancies, and Hyper-Inflated City Assessments.

It makes mention of some the recent activity of alderwoman Coggs (above and beyond her support of the $20 wheel tax):

“Contrary to expressed resident opposition, Ald. Coggs has already approved a zoning change for yet another in-house daycare on her street and license for a decrepit tavern on North Ave. that previously had some incidents involving guns and murder. At one hearing regarding the tavern, as is usual in these cases a string of friends, relatives, and would-be employees testified in favor of the bar, and by connecting their names and addresses with court records, it wasn’t surprising to find rapsheets involving drugs, prostitution and a bevy of financial and real-estate related litigation. In hard times, one thing you can do is reopen a bad bar.”

    Obama/ACORN connection in Ohio

There may be an organized effort by the Dems to cheat in Ohio using a new same day voter registration law.

The “same day” registration, along with stuffing absentee ballots may be part of a grand plan. With a few absentee ballots, the legal challenges can mount.

Bush narrowly won Ohio last time out, and there will probably be efforts to keep the “urban” polls open while the Dems round up ghetto scum, same day register, and have them vote.

Here’s some more info on that:

Yes B_H_B, but as Mark Belling pointed out yesterday, the timing says a lot… Kane’s harsh comments came out AFTER the election, not before, when they could have actually had some effect.

    The new Obama ad:

    http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/still_ad/

My first reaction to it was that it insults quite a few people in the senior citizen community.

But here’s something I didn’t know, and apparently, either did the Obama campaign:

I don’t believe Eugene Kane has any effect at all.
How many people in “the hood” read the rag?
Seriously Patrick, I think Kane is about as influential as the blog WALLAH.

Obama campagin worried about losing women voters?

    From the Obama e-mail machine:

    Jaeson -

It’s hard to believe there are less than 50 days before Election Day.

That’s not a lot of time. And since women voters could decide this election, we have to take this opportunity to talk to our friends and family about what’s at stake.

We’ve seen the power of women throughout this campaign — educating each other about the issues and building this movement by sharing our personal stories.

That’s why, over the next few weeks, women all across Wisconsin will be reaching out to one another through special Women’s Week of Action phonebanks and canvasses.

On every issue important to women — from access to healthcare and universal pre-school to equal pay for equal work — Barack is the only candidate who can bring about the change we need.

Join a Women’s Week of Action house party and let other women in your community know why you’re supporting Barack.

Barack was raised by a single mother and grandmother. He understands the tough choices that working women in this country face every single day — because he lived it. And now, he and I are raising two young girls. They are the reason we’re in this race — to make the world a better place, full of opportunity, for them and for all of our children.

I know that Barack and Joe Biden are a strong team for women and families across the country because they have the record and the commitment to prove it — but it’s up to supporters like you to help get this message of change out into your communities.

Barack and Joe will pass tax cuts for 95% of American families, ensure that women get equal pay for the same jobs as men, put the needs of working and middle class families ahead of special interests, and change our broken school system so that every single child in this nation has a world-class education from pre-school through college.

But they can’t do it alone. This campaign is counting on us. If women come together to support Barack and Joe, we can bring about the change we need.

Get started today by reaching out to other women in your community at a Wisconsin house party:

The future of women and all of our families is at stake in this election.

Thank you so much for all that you do,

    Michelle

  13. HeatherRadish Says:

He should be worried. He’s had a long string of public instances where he’s treated women very poorly.

That’s probably only a problem with undecided or loosely-affiliated women, though; he could behead a kitten in front of a kindergarten class and the female Obots would still love him.

  14. Jaeson Says:

Liberal zealots hack into Palin’s e-mail account:

    http://gawker.com/5051193/sarah-palins-personal-emails

Anyone remember the all the outrage over the potential violation of civil rights that President Bush may have committed by listening into suspected terrorist communications?

Read the comments on that page. Where is all the outrage about civil liberties violations now? Can anyone imagine the outrage that would have been expressed had Obama or Biden’s e-mail been hacked?

Yet one more example of how hypocrisy is the foundation of all liberal thought.
