As Hurricane Ike bears down on the Texas coast, our thoughts and prayers are with those still in the path… even the idiots that could have left and chose not to. This is going to be a nasty storm, but I wonder if the media’s sensationalizing of the past few storms that turned out to be less damaging then they were made out to be, is making some people complacent?
This storm is already having an effect on gasoline production, as some of our aging refineries are lying in the path. (Remember, liberal policies have kept us from building any new refineries for nearly 30 years) Iust got word from my sister in Nashville, that as of this morning, some gas stations were out of gas and others were rationing. Gas prices went from $3.49 yesterday to $4.00 this morning at the stations that had gas.
Say a little prayer for those that will suffer from this storm.
