Do you have any idea how hard you have to work to let a domain name expire? They start sending you renewal reminders like six months ahead of time!

This is how Tom Barrett treats matters of ‘general housekeeping’ related to something as sacred as his campaign’s website? And this guy seriously wants to be governor of a state his party has brought to the brink of fiscal insolvency?

The Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard escape continues. Today, the FLOTUS lunched sans family at the exclusive private club The Boathouse in Edgartown, while nearly 200 onlookers braved the wind and rain, hoping to see her.

The Cape Cod Times probed one of Mrs. Obama’s smitten fans, asking why she’d endure the elements outside the exclusive restaurant in hopes of a brief wave from the first lady. Her response?

“I have two granddaughters, and they remind me of her two children.”

We’ve never accused Obama supporters of being deep thinkers.

As someone that knew Brandon Sprewer and many of his friends, this pleases me.

From Wigderson’s Library & Pub via Hot Air…on Monday, it was discovered that yet another person in a Feingold campaign ad is a high level AFL-CIO political operative…aka beltway insider…aka not-Jane Mainstreet. By the Feingold campaign’s own representation, one in three people supporting him are members of Big Labor. Tarnishes his above-the-special-interests image more than just a bit.

In order of appearance in the ad, the “regular people” supporting Russ are: #1…Linda Sadowski, an AFL-CIO liason to the White House; #2, 3 and 4…unidentified; #5…Joanne Ricca, AFL-CIO Legislative and Research Director; #6…unidentified. So far, it would seem that this ad didn’t use actors…didn’t use “regular people” but preferred high level, political insiders from one of the biggest labor unions in America. So let’s see who else we turn up. First, we have the two fellows in the video:

I have no idea who are these two gents. As for the ladies…

…I have no idea who they are either…but I know who they aren’t.

I challenge our most prolific commenter, “Jaeson” to identify one of these folks. If anyone in our audience will ID them, I’m betting on you man. ;)

Sidenote: If you scan the comments section at that Boots & Sabers post, you see breathless protestations with phrases like “witch hunt” and “right wing smear machine.” There has been conversation/debate elsewhere about the similarities between the hunt for Elizabeth Ackland and the savaging of a laborer from Northwest Ohio commonly known as “Joe the Plumber.” The biggest difference is we’re talking about trying to find a non-existent person versus the thorough trashing of an actual person. JTP, as I’m sure you remember, had every aspect of his life exposed to the sunlight as the vultures picked him apart. All because, like those who understand the American Dream, he one day wanted to own a business of his own. Did it matter that he was unlicensed? No, in Ohio anyone can work under the supervision of a licensed plumber. Did it matter that he wasn’t going out to open his own business the next day? No…again, it’s called aspiring to do better. Quite naturally, he wanted to know what an Obama Administration would mean for his future. Pretty natural concern, right? With Feingold, the story is the same. No union card? Sorry Joe, no Russ.

This post title is a quote from an excerpt of an article about Dr. Khaled Al-Haroub (also cited with spelling of Dr. Khaled Hroub), a Palestinian researcher at Cambridge University. I had never before heard of the “The Middle East Media Research Institute.” While researching information on “victory mosques” , a phrase that describes the conversion of non-Muslim places of worship into mosques, I came across this website. Initially, the title of this post was going to be “Moderate Muslims Do Exist…in America Too” as a companion piece to the one I wrote two weeks ago.

At least from this article, it would appear that Dr. Hroub is another example of a moderate Muslim opinion. Despite being someone whose credentials would typically garner instant credibility among the Left…and most of the Right as well…I did not see much coverage of this elsewhere. I appreciate the man’s perspective.

From a purely legal and theoretical perspective, the New York Muslims have the right to build a mosque and an Islamic center as they wish, within the boundaries of the municipal laws. They are citizens of this cosmopolitan city, just like any other citizens of any other religion. However, the principle that should guide those who wish to build the mosque transcends the [dry letter of the] law and the [goal] of scoring legal points. After all, a legal verdict permitting them to build a mosque against the will of over half the [city's] population cannot be regarded as a victory. Building a mosque near that place [i.e., Ground Zero], legally or illegally, is a provocation that hurts people’s feelings, so it is inappropriate to insist on building it on that spot, of all places…

Patrick McIlheran exposes the Dem’s best chance at a victory this fall. She may have had a chance before she called her her constituents fat, stupid bigots… and then some.

The interwebz to the rescue.

Senator Russ Feingold got some heat for using a false name in his TV ad, apparently because they couldn’t find a real person that got a job because Feingold voted for the unstimulating stimulus bill.

He is out with a new ad, he doesn’t make up fake people this time, but apparently he still can’t find any average voters… James Wigderson reports that one of the people that Russ is standing up for, is Joanne Ricca, an AFL-CIO lobbyist.

What’s next, an ad with Wisconsin’s loony-leftosphere bloggers?
